Grow Stool
The RAD Grow Stool is a versatile, intentional seating piece designed to grow with your child from toddlerhood through the preschool years. Lightweight and easy to move, it provides comfortable seating for meals, crafts, games, and everyday activities while supporting independence and confidence.
The Grow Stool features two adjustable height options using interchangeable dowels. The lower 6.5 inch seat height is ideal for early toddlers who are beginning to sit independently, while the 11 inch setting offers supportive seating for preschool aged children working at tables. The most reliable way to choose the correct height is to measure from the back of your child’s knee to the floor and select the setting that is closest to that measurement. Since children grow quickly, many families choose a height their child can grow into.
Handmade in our shop from premium Baltic birch wood, the Grow Stool reflects RAD’s commitment to sturdy construction, thoughtful details, and quality materials. Despite its lightweight design, it easily supports up to 200 pounds, making it suitable for both children and adults.
Designed to pair seamlessly with RAD tables, the Grow Stool works well with 13 inch Toddler Height Tables when set to the lower height and with 19 inch Preschool Height Tables when adjusted to the taller setting. The removable dowels also double as easy carry handles, allowing children to transport their stool independently from one activity to the next.
When not in use at the table, the Grow Stool naturally becomes part of open ended play. It may serve as a stepping stone, a stage, or a building element, adapting to your child’s imagination and movement needs throughout the day.
